Assist Operations Manager in supervising daily operations of the organisation. Develop productive, profitable and achievement oriented working environment for employees. Evaluate current operational strategies and recommend improvements. Generate operational reports for management daily and responsible for evaluating employee performance and arranging staff training and development programs to plug any skill gaps. Evaluate employees’
bonuses. Also responsible for handling employees’ grievances and complaints. Liaise with the clients when any operational and performance issues arise. Prepare schedules for the different shafts and manage the budget with the guide of the rest of the management team.

Supervise underground mine construction work crews (20 employees) at Impala 11 shaft. Plan the labour duties and manage all the tasks and services we offer to Impala mine. Responsible for invoices and making sure we have enough labour compliments for the jobs we get from the mine. Report to the LPK Chief Operations Officer and make sure that the company meets it targets and remains profitable. Liaise with Mine Shift Supervisors and Mine Overseers for more contract jobs and ensure that the jobs are done up to mining standards. Make sure that LPK remains the contractor of choice for the mine as there is high competition from other contractor companies offering the same services at the mine.

Performed a variety of research-related duties for the Wits Digital Mining Laboratory, provided support to professors and staff as needed. Engaged the leading vendor companies on digital mining products. Researched on the leading practices in health and safety digital systems being used locally and internationally and reviewed the literature on the best practices. Managed digital systems from local original equipment manufacturers (OEMs) installed in the Wits
DigiMine Mock mine, and reported and advised on improvements or problems to the Director and the OEMs. Attended trainings and conferences on digital mining systems and engaged and networked with mining industry professionals.
Completed an MSc in mining engineering dissertation putting forward the various ways technology adoption and implementation can make mine safer and more profitable.
