- Actively participate in the execution plans of the Road Freight Strategy, analysing, evaluating, And overseeing the effective implementation of the Road Traffic Quality Management System (RTQS) within heavy vehicle industry traffic control facilities.
- Manage the planning and operations of national overload control initiatives, ensuring Compliance with standards.
- Facilitate and monitor the implementation of overload control strategy programmes to achieve mandated objectives.
- Advise the South African Black Transport Association (SABTA) and the Truckers Association of South Africa (TASA) on challenges faced by emerging transport operators, providing insights on BBBEE policies, strategies, and legislatives frameworks to enhance their operational knowledge.
- Represent the Department in RTMS Steering Committee Meetings.
- Conduct workshops on road traffic management systems across the country, disseminating crucial Information and strategies.
- Oversee the design and manufacture of Performance-Based Standard vehicles, ensuring adherence To technical specifications.
- Represent my Section or Directorate (Road Infrastructure Planning) during NDP 2030 discussions Across various sessions, contributing to defining actionable objectives in alignment with NATMAP 2050 through demand projections.
- Participate in the formulation of the Regional Corridor Development Strategy aimed at better Integrating South Africa with SADC countries, stimulating economic growth while enhancing Regional mobility.
- Identify road freight challenges and propose viable solutions as part of the Regional Corridor Development Strategy.
- Represent the National Department of Transport in monitoring and evaluating Road Transport Projects, such Road Maintenance, ensuring adherence to the budget allocated by National Treasury.
- Responsible for overseeing operations across two provinces: Mpumalanga and KZN Province (2015-2022), conducting bi-monthly site visits and quarterly bilateral meetings.
- From 1st April 2022, responsible for the Eastern Cape Province, including monitoring and Evaluation of road site inspections through project site visits as previously mentioned.
- Conduct physical assessments of weight-bridges via site visits, evaluating operational status across All nine provinces (2019-2021).
- Represent my Section in National Overload Control Committee Meetings on behalf of my Supervisor.
- Organised a workshop for emerging road freight operators, attended by over 120 participations From all nine provinces, representing various road freight organisations such as SABBTA and TASA (2016).
