• Developed new functionality for South Africa's pioneering pharmacy benefit management (PBM) system, often working directly from user requirements without formal specifications.
• Maintained existing applications, improved performance and quality of core systems, and provided customer support.

Senior Product Developer at Tembo Technology Lab (2012-03 – 2014-12)

• Built UIM-based maintenance panels for the Adsero Optima Foundation product, used by customers to maintain their own database metadata.
• Architected "AOL" (Adsero Optima Logic), a utility that mined legacy application code to flag validity logic replaceable by database constraints/triggers, and to identify code blocks suitable for re-usable procedures.
• Developed an impact-analysis product to help customers assess the effect of database and program changes.

Senior Software Developer at Medikredit (1994-12 – 2012-02)

• Developed and maintained financial and medical-claims processing applications, including EDI interfaces, for a national medical-aid claims processor.
• Built purpose-made tools to optimise cross-platform data transfer performance, and provided ongoing user support.
