I am a female, with a BTech qualification in Quantity Surveying from Nelson Mandela Metropolitan University. This is backed with ongoing experience as of 2017 April on various projects. I am eager to apply the theoretical and practical knowledge I have obtained up to this level.

I believe beyond my academic qualification lies traits, qualities, skills and abilities that are needed in a person in order to execute a job description of a quantity surveyor. I am characterized by an orientation towards high quality customer and team relationship; solid and measurable results in work that I do; a contribution towards stable and predictable processes and cohesive team work. I plan, structure, measure, control and pull information together in order to achieve a specific goal.

I evaluate systems and practices, make practical decisions about the best way to get things working efficiently. I strongly believe in good communication, team work, creativity, innovation and flexibility to new conditions.

• Remeasuring project
• Report an accurate AFV
• Sub-contractor adjudication and appointments
• Reviewing new drawings, measuring changes and pricing and submission of contract variations
• Monthly valuations/ claims on projects (candy/excel)
• Labour only, Domestic, Nominated & Selected subcontractor payments and verification (CCS/Excel and Buildsmart)
• Sending out tender invitations including required returnable documents for new trades on the ongoing projects
• Final account measurements and prelim agreements during the course of the project as trades get completed (With the PQS and for all subcontractors)
• Checking RFI (request for information) schedules to price changes not shown on drawings
• Checking NCR (non-conformances register) to contra charge subcontractors, to distribute regularly
• Attending all progress and technical meetings
• Seamlessly working and collaborating with the Production, H&S, Procurement and Quality departments on the site to ensure smooth operation and successful project
• Compiling EOT
• Compiling expense and loss claims
• Compiling project variation orders
