I am consistently seeking new challenges and ways to improve myself. My patience, perseverance and versatility have contributed to my ability to work well under pressure and manage tasks effectively.
I have over ten years working experience in various positions and have extensive experience in ICT field with particular emphasis on Wide Area Network (WAN) and Local Area Network (LAN). I am currently within the University of Zululand as a Technical Services Manager. I was also involved for the Broadband project to roll out connectivity to Schools and Government buildings in the Eastern Cape and Western Cape.
Services such as VOIP and E learning are part of the service catalogue for broadband. My responsibility also falls into successfully migrating sites and monitoring is done and SLA management is viewed. The drafting and implementation of new policies are part of my deliverables.
The engagement of various stakeholders also plays a huge part in my current role.
I have completed a Bachelor of Commerce degree majoring in Management Information Systems and have also obtained the Cisco CCNA Certificate Routing and Switching, ITILv3 Foundation as well as COMPTIA’s A+ and N+ certification. My qualification consists of both Commerce and Computer Science which are assets to my leadership capabilities and supports my good work ethic. I get satisfaction in assisting others and strive to exceed the expectations of my clients, colleagues and the company that I represent.
I am proficient in both English and Zulu and have excellent operational, technical and communication skills, which coupled with my working experience and my qualifications, enable me to be an asset to your company.
