• Understand and walkthrough of processes, analytical procedures, monitoring and accounting tasks.
• Examined company records such as billings, payroll, reimbursement, and others to ensure that transactions are appropriately recorded and authorized.
• Prepared report of findings and provided recommendations to improve the process.
• Ensured compliance of operations with policies and regulations that were set by management.
• While working for AVAKA financial consultants I was a part of the Internal Audit team which Audited the UMFOLOZI TVET COLLEGE (3yr contract), I was involved in various projects to name a few: Physical employee verifications, asset verification and review, Review of the SCM procedures, Human resource review (testing of HR procedures, verification of qualifications &etc),
• Review of SCM procedures (Review of the SCM Policy, assessing the procurement process in accordance with the SCM Policy)
•  My experience in the auditing field has grown immensely since I started working with Promilezi as I was fortunate enough to be of an Internal Audit team auditing various clients in the public sector ranging from TVETs, government departments, stated owned enterprises and all our projects were mainly based on Internal Audit and as for 2022 my highlight was a SCM clean audit for a client(Agribusiness Development Agency) judged by the Auditor General (External Auditor.
• I’m also part of an Audit team which consults as Internal Auditors for Mthashana TVET college where our recent projects in Jan before the end of the financial in Feb where Human resource review, Infrastructure review.
