8+ years of IT experience in the Development, Implementation and Testing of Database/Data warehousing applications for Financial industries using Data Extraction, Data Transformation, Data Loading and Data Analysis. 8+ years of Data Warehousing experience in multiple ETL tools using Microsoft SQL Server Integration Services, Ab Initio 4.2.3 and ODI 12c.
Experience in integration of various data sources like Flat Files, SQL Server, Teradata and Oracle into Data Warehouse. Extensive experience in loading high volume data and Performance tuning. Experienced with all phases of software development life cycle.

MRDW as a project can be broadly broken down into 2 main components, the first is the data warehouse which is where the project derives its name from, Market Risk Data Warehouse. The second component is the reporting platform, which feeds off data from the warehouse, the chosen reporting platform is an in-house framework referred to as Reg Control, the risk instance is an independent instance that is called Reg Control. The objective of MRDW is to become a central repository for all market risk data in across the bank.
This requires that the data that is gathered into the warehouse is sourced from Authoritative sources. The data that is ingested into the warehouse includes Fundamental Review of the Trading Book (FRTB) is a regulatory framework developed by the Basel Committee on Banking Supervision (BCBS) as part of Basel III. It aims to overhaul the capital requirements for market risk in banks' trading activities.

This project is involved extracting data from different sources and loading into a data mart. The major involved in cleansing the data and transforming the data to staging area then loading the data in the Reporting data marts.

WesBank Data Correction phase is to improve the common customer data to be of sufficient quality to answer the business demands. The common customer data quality issues defined in the first phase will be quantified through the DQ Assessment phase and used to determine the preferred approach to the data quality improvement. The DQ Correction Requirements will be defined for the prioritised data quality issues taking into the account all compliance and audit constraints.
This needs to be completed prior to the actual correction activities to ensure that the correction undertaken will not further corrupt the data and will meet the relevant governance requirements. For the identified subset of the common customer data the correction processes will create standardised, parsed, cleansed, and derived values that will be fed back to the source.
