I am a forward-thinking BSc graduate. I learn quickly and can adapt to situations with ease. Loyalty, honesty, work ethic and determination are some of the values that I hold. I welcome any challenges and enjoy finding creative solutions to meet them. I have an extensive formal scientific education in Microbiology, Genetics and Bioinformatics related subjects, furthermore I am eager to continue learning.
As a graduate in Microbiology I believe I have the skills necessary to perform well as a technician. Along with my training in Microbiology and Genetics I have also been educated in food safety and risk assessment and thus can provide expertise on the subject matter. During my honours I had extensive training in molecular biology working on a potato pathogen. I was able to develop a loss of function mutation in an important protein molecule for Pectobacterium carotovorum subsp. Brasiliense.
My training also included work at a the FABI disease clinic and a culture collection from 2019 to 2021. I am very knowledgeable on any microbiology subject will work very well with other microbiologist and fully understand any and all testing procedures and limitations.
