Sunel Raath

I have worked in various financial positions in South Africa, the Netherlands, and the United Kingdom. During this time, I have been exposed to both corporate and academic environments.

I hold a BCOM (Accounting) degree, an Honours BCOMPT (Accounting) degree, as well as a Certificate in the Theory of Accounting (CTA). In addition, I have also completed three years of formal articles. I was registered with the South African Institute for Professional Accountants (SAIPA) as a tax practitioner between 2013 and 2016 (between late 2016 and 2021, I accompanied my husband who served, on behalf of SARS, as its representative to the World Customs Organization in Belgium, and was not permitted to work in terms of my residence permit provisions).

However, since my return to South Africa, I have again taken up a role as an E-Tutor in Financial Accounting with the University of South Africa.

I have inter alia worked on SAP, Pastel, JD Edwards, ACCPAC, Audition, Exact, Excel, SUN, and other less-known accounting packages, and is accustomed to IFRS. I am fully computer literate and is a quick learner, hardworking, loyal, friendly, and pragmatic.
