- Knowledge of materials (Mild steel, stainless steel, high tensile steel, galvanized (Hot dip and cold galvanizing), zinc coated.
- The use of measuring tools (Vernier calliper (0.02 mm and 0.05m). Thread gauge, telescopic gauge, micrometre, tension gauge)
- Basic use of hand tools

- Experience on maintaining static seals in machines and equipment (Mechanical seals, O-rings, bellows, single spring balanced seal, gland packing, oil seats
- Experience on pipe fitting (on new coalescer project)
- Experience on rigging equipment of different working loads and familiar with W.L.L
- Experience on V-belt tensioning
- Worked on multistage reduction gearboxes and on single stage worm reduction gearboxes
- Knowledge and experience on Butterfly valves, gate valves, globe valves, strainers, pressure relief valves, spring loaded ball valves, Armstrong bucket valves, check valve, steam traps, diaphragm valve
- Knowledge and experience working on roller conveyor, replacing worn out rollers
- Planning and organising and co-ordination skills (5Y documentation, RCA documentation)
