I am a seasoned Anticipatory Action Specialist with more than 10 years in the INGO sector
Outcome driven JICA and FAO trained, DRR and Anticipatory Action Expert. Highly skilled and extensively experienced (more than 8 years) of progressive postgraduate professional experience in programme and project development, capacity strengthening, representation in a humanitarian and development environment. I have a wealth of experience with anticipatory actions, forecast-based financing, sovereign, macro or micro insurance, including being familiar with vulnerability and risk mapping, climate and weather forecasting and monitoring indicators and triggers. I am good at networking with multiple stakeholders, program coordination and support, Humanitarian Emergency Affairs management, rehabilitation and development.
Adept knowledge in conflict-sensitive DRR, Anticipation and capacity building approaches.
Experience in working in fragile contexts and good knowledge of inter-agency coordination. Highly experienced in Vulnerability Analysis and Hazard Mapping, development and review of Contingency Plans. Extensive knowledge in building crisis timelines, development and validation of Early Action Protocols (EAPs), Food, Nutrition and Livelihoods Security.
Vast experience in improving food access and development of Standard Operating Procedures in Emergencies. An independent thinker biased towards action with the ability to establish priorities and meet challenges head on. An excellent communicator with a can-do approach to problem solving with a sound judgment and ability to work with minimum supervision.
