Temporary contract aiding in the design of a Waste Water Plant at Miletus Consulting (2011-06 – 2011-08)
Miletus Consulting is a civil engineering company. The company was awarded a contract to increase Harrismith's waste water treatment plant in capacity because the current size of the plant is a bit too small to handle the large volumes of sewage entering the plant daily.
- Taking daily flow rates entering the activated wastewater treatment plant
- Analysis of the water within the process by performing daily turbidity and pH tests
- Daily submissions of water samples to an accredited water testing lab to establish average composition within the water entering the plant, which comes from domestic use, factories and the abattoir

Since entering the digital era, photo film is no longer necessary for still image capturing, however mass production for sales purposes means there's still a lot of un used photo film which may never be used again. Photo film uses silver which reacts with light to capture an image.
- Objective: Come up with a process in which to abstract as much silver from the photo film as possible
- General Method Used: Chop the photo film into small pieces, Leach the silver from the film using Sodium Cyanide [NaCN], Alter the rate of reaction using sodium peroxide [H2O2], then precipitated the silver from the formed solution using sodium hydrosulphite
