- Placing road signs according the drawing such as workmen, 80 sign, no overtaking, 60 sign, Tripping stone, 40 sign, Bending sign, soft surface and dump truck
- Placing these signs at a distance of 100 m apart before bypass
- These signs were placed in the same way at the start and at the end of the bypass
- Placing these signs to a bypass to assist when vehicles are moving to the bypass
- Using delineators to accommodate the incoming traffic and outcoming traffic
- Using arrow signs to tell vehicles that must drive on a bypass
- Using a road closing sign, no entry sign, barrier sign to stop the traffic from driving on a working area, placing these on the start and end of the working area
- Mmoving these signs as the road was extended to make a new bypass
- Driving along the road checking potholes occurring on the road (Ventersburg to Senekal) and covering these with asphalt
- Patching the road using cold mix asphalt, water, tamper, two spades and eight labours
- Placing two containers on the road where I was to do stop and go. These containers do have robots to tell the traffic whether to stop or go
- Vehicles were moving on one lane and the other lane, had a working area
- Placing the robots at the start and end of the accommodated road
- Installing delineators and the other signs like arrow signs in- between the robots
- Putting stop and go signs, two labours in each container and flag ladies in front who are to control traffic

- Inserting a subsoil pipe for drainage underneath the side of road. Excavating using a TLB to make a trench, two meters depth. Before we excavate, we were marking using fish line, cement and referring to surveyor poles. We were doing levels for a trench using a timber, controlling a TLB guy. We laid a bedim into a trench acting as a bed
- Putting U19 stones, subsoil pipe and stones again above the pipe after connecting a pipe along a trench. We also engulfed these with a bedim
- Placing river sands on top
- Working on a retaining wall. Erecting a reinforced concrete wall to sustain a wall not to collapse onto a freeway road next to Police station at Camperdown. We were constructing the wall guided by drawings that was prepared by Nyeleti Consulting. We excavated a big trench, doing pad foundation, steel shutters were used for formwork. Butterfly clamps to align shutters. Tying steel (Y bar) for reinforcements. We poured concrete using a concrete mixer
- Working in the laboratory doing soil tests. Working under concrete and compaction. At concrete, we were doing cubes and slum test. We were going to site collecting concrete and pouring it in the plastic mold. Waiting for it 2 days for dry before laboratory testing. After 3days, we were measuring its length, width and mass. I was putting it in the machine to measure its strength
- Preparing soil samples from the road. Laying cube testing we were putting it in the water for 3 days. We crushed it with a tamper. I have been preparing samples from site, keep ready for compaction. We were using sieve (Size 20 and 19 mm) and sieving the soil. We were also crushing it in such a way that we obtain a very small soil size. We were compacting soil using compaction machines. We were also using buckets, plates, scale, cylinder, calculator, mold, tins, metal spoon, oven and worksheets
- Working on stabilizing the road, we were placing a number of bags with cement along the road to be mixed with soil on the road. Miller was used to bond cement and soil with the assistance of water canes and labor. We were also maintaining road barriers along the road. We were cleaning, aligning and removing protruding concrete on it
- Using a dump level, eight-pound hammer, staff to do levels freeway at Camperdown and Cato Ridge
