Maintenance electrician - Transnet Port Of Ngqurha - Ngqurha

(2014-10 - 2025-02)

• Maintenance, installation and repairing of the following high voltage machines, components and equipments such as transformers, isolator, switch gears, circuit breakers, MV Panels, drives, motors, generators, hydraulic brakes
• Doing PMs (Planned maintenance) on these cranes overhead cranes, Reach stacker cranes, Rubber Tyre Gantry (RTG) cranes, Ship to shore cranes (STS), Rail Mounted Cranes (RMG)
• Maintenance on DB Boards, inside and outside lights including highmast lights, air conditioners in all building offices and substations
• Attending machinery breakdowns and rectify when working rotating shifts and record the breakdowns as required
• Adhere to OHS Act rules as per company procedures and policies
• Work at heights and confined spaces as sometimes required when doing breakdowns
• Assist injured personnel when there's an incident or accident
• Train and mentor apprentices when they are on job-training
• Maintain good housekeeping and hygienic at all times
• Order parts on computer using SAP system

General Worker/First Aider - Eskom Rotek Industries

(2025-05)

• Assist in all general construction work such as doing steel frames, building of bundle wall, pouring of concrete, digging of excavation, building plinths boxes, building of steel structures
• Working at heights when installing steel structures
• Assist in installing of high voltage breakers during outage week
• Assist injured personnel as I'm the qualified first aider on-site
• Maintain a good housekeeping after work is completed
• Work extra hours when required
