As a Data Analyst at a health tech startup with an Industrial Engineering background, I enjoy using my problem-solving ability and technical skills to tackle tasks head-on. My academic background, industrial placements, and work experience have given me the ability to assess a situation and adapt my approach accordingly in high-stress environments. This also further developed my attention to detail, team management and interpersonal communication skills.
Managed, trained and upskilled a colleague in Data Analysis and Operations related tasks . Maintained and continually updated the data pipeline (MySQL, Python, no-code tools for ETL) and data reporting platform (Google Data Studio and Datalore) to include new metrics. I analysed the data collected (using R) to inform the CEO and guide business strategies to increase revenue. Worked with other departments to strategise and implement more efficient workflows to increase productivity.
Bachelor of Industrial Engineering with focus on Data Science in my dissertation. As well as a University of Cape Town course in Data Science with Python.
