- Managing a panel of attorneys to ensure that the legal process is followed correctly and in line with the banks required prerequisites.
- Checking of drafted pleadings, affidavits, notices, opinions and correspondence.

- To evaluate and manage the credit and associated risks within an allocated portfolio within a geographic region, effectively integrating and controlling the credit function by maintaining the quality of credit risks across the portfolio, minimizing the risk of loss through bad debts while maximizing profits.
- To interact with other areas of the bank, acting as a catalyst in driving change initiatives in ensuring compliance with agreed risk parameters as set out in the strategy.
- Ensuring the effective movement of an account from one stage to another is timeously attended to.
- Updating spreadsheets with regards to new instructions, legal processes, closed matters and queries.
- Preparing monthly vendor meetings and discussing monthly targets to ensure that the vendors are performing according to set SLA.
- Take full responsibility and accountability of existing and future non-performing loan accounts in minimizing the risk of loss to the bank
- To facilitate for the cost effective resolution of matters in an effort to restructure agreements or/and collection of full arrears owing and normalization of accounts within agreed timeframes.
- Where clients demonstrate an inability to pay arrears or the capital amount owing we proceed with cancellation for the agreement and dispose of the asset in order to minimize risk and mitigate loss.
- Should the client fail to update the arrears and be unable to make the future installments we then proceed with a court order and warrant of delivery/execution of immovable assets.
- Upon attachment of the immovable property the client is advised of timeframes within which to rectify the account. Supporting documents are requested and analyzed for affordability for possible restructure/rehabilitation. We also request that in the event that the client fails to rectify, the immovable property is then sold at sale and execution.
- Compliance with statutory, regulatory and supervisory requirements to protect the reputation of the bank and to avoid legal action/sanction in respect of regulatory compliance matters.
- Control and maintain credit policies and procedures.
