I have recently been employed as a Warehouse Manager within an FMCG environment, however, my core career experience and passion lie in buying and procurement and is where the majority of my professional background is based. I am experienced through on-the-job learning rather than academic pathways and do hold a Purchasing Management Diploma. I have extensive hands-on experience as a Buyer, including ordering, stock control, forecasting and supplier liaison.
Management role has further strengthened my suitability as a buyer, as it has provided me with exposure to stock control and demand planning, supplier performance and lead time management, cost control, shrinkage reduction and operational efficiency. All of the above allows me to approach buying decisions with a strong understanding of downstream warehouse and distribution realities. I am practical, detail-oriented and commercially aware. Whilst my experience is strongest in buying and procurement, I am fully willing to contribute in other areas to support a company's operations. I am always eager to learn new tasks, whether in a warehouse, general labour or administrative capacity.
