Leading HSE initiatives and safety programs across various industrial projects and turnarounds.
- Ensuring all the HSE deliverables documents are prepared and approved by client pre-start of projects (HSE procedures, journey/traffic mgmt. plan, fatigue mgmt. plan, JSA, RA, MS, site mobilization plan, approval of WPR/HSE/Fire watch/SBM/BA operator etc.)
- Preparing and sharing client/Internal various HSE statistical reports, including Weekly/Monthly HSE statistics, contractor employee medical reports, employee training and competency records, monthly environmental reports, critical equipment inspection updates, violation and incentive program record, KPI Target, Register, inspection records for SCBA and H₂S monitors, welfare meeting, audit & feedback and HSE management tour/closeout reports, safety action tracking/closeout records, and PTW audits
- Implement emergency response plans, develop and implement plans for emergency situations, such as spills, fires or natural disasters
- Develop and implement safety procedures, create and enforce safety policies, procedures, and standards to ensure compliance with regulations and industry best practices
- Developing and implementing comprehensive health, safety, and environmental (HSE) policies that align with legal requirements and company standards
- Providing guidance to project safety, training, and execution professionals to foster a strong safety culture and deliver the necessary support for achieving health and safety excellence throughout all phases of the project
- Leading the development and execution of inclusive HSE policies, ensuring full compliance with regulatory and corporate frameworks
- Lead encompass strategic planning, team leadership, and oversight of company-wide safety initiatives
- Contributing to the development and implementation of effective risk assessments to identify and mitigate hazards associated with critical activities
- Supporting employees in enhancing their effectiveness, advancing in their roles, and developing key skills through individual coaching and group training focused on performance and professional growth
- Develop, managed and improve company HSE objectives, strategies plan and performance in company activities/projects in safely on time within budget and accordance to regulation and standard. Ensure that company HSE policies, procedures and controls are always adhered
- Responsible for ensuring that systems, procedures and work environments are safe and compliant with regulations by identifying potential hazards, assessing risks and implementing preventive measures to avoid accidents or injuries
- Attending SD/TA meetings with Operations, HSE, Maintenance and Project teams
- Conducting and Facilitating the Monthly Management Audit, Weekly Management Walks, Supervisors/HSEs Meeting, Mass Meetings Kickoff Meeting and More with Clients i.e. SABIC, ARAMCO, SASREF etc.
- Providing Guidance to contractor's Safety Persons on Proactive Monitoring Techniques, Promoting Positive Culture Toward HSE & Accident Prevention Program
- Preparation/Facilitating of MOM and Presentation for the Steering Committee Meeting along with Operation Maintenance, Project, Pre-Commissioning & Commissioning activities & Project Team
- Ensuring the availability of adequate emergency resources during job execution, including standby vehicles, first aid kits, qualified medical personnel, ambulances, stretchers and work-at-height rescue kits
- Facilitating welfare meetings, conducting welfare/camp audits, collecting employee feedback for improvements, compiling reports and following up on action items to ensure timely closeout
- Always Intervene with project team regarding questions related to safety and provides HSE solutions during the Project/Pre-Commissioning & Commissioning team
- Supervise safety rule during activities. - Coordinate with Contractor, Subcontractor, Client Execution Pre-Commissioning, Commissioning & Operation team
- Investigating incidents, accidents/incidents and near misses, including LSR violations and determine probable causes and develop appropriate safety measures to prevent recurrence of similar incidents and preparing reports in Client/Internal formats and sharing them with the client and HOD
- Facilitating all 3rd party training requirements in accordance with the client training matrix for all personnel prior to their deployment to the project
- Overseeing and conducting job-specific internal training for all employees on safety topics including confined space entry, hot work, electrical safety, power tools, heat stress, manual handling, rigging, hazard hunting, carpentry shop, mechanical shop, fabrication yard, construction site, critical life-saving PPE, such as H₂S monitors, EEBA, and SCBA, crane, heavy equipment air compressors, heavy plant vehicles, forklift trucks and other hazards area and emergency response etc.
- Coordinate & assist training program and drill, HSE Campaigns, Stand-down meetings, site inspections, to ensure practice / preparation etc.
- Responsible for close monitoring of onsite HSEMS implementation in accordance with the client and company standards
- Conduct routine PTW spot checks and report deviations to the HSE In-charge/ Site In charge
- Responsible to identify unsafe behaviors and inform the project team about good safe behaviors and correct them towards the development of safe habits and HSE culture at the site
- Follow up for the inspection all equipment, machinery, and tools in the location/ site and ensure that valid third-party inspection certificate is available for all applicable items; report deviations and take the initiative to immediately remove from the site, the items without valid certificates/maintenance records
- Make sure that the company and client HSE Policies, HSE Objectives, and HSE KPIs are understood by self and the project personnel are aware of the same
- Communicate with the workforce about HSE Flashes/ HSE Alerts/ HSE Memo/ HSE Times/other HSE Communication
- Participate in safety audits and assessments/walk through: Engage in internal and external safety audits to identify areas for improvements
- Ensuring proper waste management plan is in place and it is effectively implemented in relation to generation of hazardous, non-hazardous, chemical waste, fuels, oils, greases, industrial, non-industrial, solid waste and liquid waste
- Ensuring recycling and reuse is being done at project site to minimize and control waste generation at site
- Specific project based environmental awareness trainings program conducting for all staffs as well as working crew
- Supervising subcontractors for Noise monitoring for air compressors, air blowing activity and diesel generators as well as all high noise activities and control measures are in place
