Alex Magli

I am a passionate and driven Sport Management student, currently in my 4th year at Brock University. Over the past four years, I have developed a strong knowledge and experience in the sports gaming and casino sector. Throughout my life, sports have been an essential part of who I am. Whether it is competing, volunteering, or working in this field, I believe this is the sector I truly belong.

My most recent role was at theScore Inc. as a Marketing-Associate Intern. In this role, I worked with multiple stakeholders across the marketing, social media, communications, and risk departments in the company's first Fall with their Ontario Sportsbook.

Over the past three summers, I have held customer engagement positions at the Ontario Lottery Gaming Corporation (OLG). For two summers I worked as an iGaming Specialist and most recently, I worked as a Social Media Specialist, where I quickly developed a reputation as an onsite expert for sports gaming inquiries.

Marketing Associate – Intern

• Researched and developed a daily report of relevant news and trends related to mobile apps, digital, sports media, and sports betting 
• Assisted in day-to-day communications regarding PENN Entertainment, Barstool Sports, and theScore Bet media personnel on a variety of topics in both the corporate and sports world.
• Developed a weekly slide deck summarizing data on promotional success and per sport success based on consumer usage metrics.
• Assisted in developing marketing materials, including presentations, digital advertising, and company-wide newsletters.
• Reviewed and analyzed data and assisted in compiling and distributing internal reports on crucial company information.
• Managed elements of the company's corporate website, including writing blog posts and ensuring content is up to date, and researching and vetting inbound marketing opportunities, including social media influencers.

Social Media and Lottery Customer Care

• Monitored and created active interest with consumers on all OLG Social Media pages through Sprout Software.
• Developed and maintained knowledge of all OLG products, and Retail Sportsbook services to ensure customers receive accurate information.
• Prepared emails relating to customer and retail services improving experience for users and operators of OLG products.

Inbound OSC iGaming Specialist Co-op

• Worked both independently and with a team to resolve any issues across Ontario regarding online gambling through the OLG Online Casino website and app.
• Developed and maintained knowledge of all OLG products, services and promotions to provide customers and retailers accurate information.
• Documented and recorded all interactions, such as phone calls, emails and social media in order to monitor and analyze data for the purpose of improving the customer experience.
