Alexander Ord

My name is Alexander Ord and I am a highly motivated, self-driven, caring individual with over 15 years of experience working in the hospitality industry and over a year within the mental health and community services field. I also have four years of cleaning commercial office buildings.

Through my experience with people, I have honed clear, concise communication skills needed for creating and maintaining strong, healthy relationships and their associated boundaries. I understand the necessity of punctuality and teamwork, and I pride myself on having an abundance of patience and understanding that comes with challenging situations. I consider myself a fast learner and a successful team player.

I have over 15 years of customer service experience stemming from the hospitality industry, including management and supervisor roles; among this included keeping a tight inventory count of the restaurant's ongoing liquor quantity, onboarding, training, and aiding new staff members feel welcome, and handling delicate situations with upset customers.

Due to my role as a residential counselor at Lakeridge Health I have had the opportunity to learn how to interact with individuals of varying levels of mental health, and utilized many crisis handling techniques.

I am a recent graduate of the Social Service Worker course at Durham College, of which I graduated with honors. I have also recently relocated to Huntsville, ON.
