Amanda Singh

I have spent many years studying music and performing as both a soloist and choral leader. My passion for the organizations I have worked with has led me to the path of arts administration. I have worked the past few years on developing a variety skills so that I can work with and learn from organizations in whatever capacity is needed.

Amadeus Choir of Toronto: Choir Coordinator (2020-present)

• Responsible for administrative tasks such as conveying communications between directors and choristers, tracking chorister submissions for virtual projects, establishing timelines, and maintaining the choir’s website to better organize and communicate different types of information. 
• Additional communications from those with questions about the organization, performances, auditions, etc.
• Answer inquiries from choristers regarding technology, performance and rehearsal to allow for clarifications and allow for a more understanding environment
• Organizing and coordinating schedules for bi-annual choir auditions
• Creating and maintaining spreadsheets for member registrations, payments, and health
• Editing and creating varying documents, from spreadsheets to promotional advertisements for greater outreach and safety requirements
• Assisting in various roles as needed such as: grant writing, location scoping, creating subtitles, etc.

• Greet and converse with customers to gain understanding of the services needed
• Photograph/process pictures for government identification and ensure that all details and specifications are met for each picture
• Aid customers with printing their personal pictures using Kodak machines, and answer any other questions that they may have

• Tutor beginner-level students in classical voice, piano, and theory
• Track their advancement in range, vocal timber and musical skills to further their understanding and development as a performer. 
• Assess each student and use different teaching strategies to cater to their learning needs

RESOUND Choir: Grant Coordinator (2021-2022)

• Working with Board and artistic team to understand the needs of the choir and discover grants that might apply
• Organizing list of potential grants in order of relevance and due date

• Responsible for communications such as arranging auditions and coordinating performances/appearances for the group
• Collaborate with other musicians to improve musicianship and community
• Work with a team to organize various concerts
• Participate in social media marketing tactics for concerts and performances
