Coni Ward

I’m 24 years old and have been a dedicated volunteer firefighter for over five years. My passion for helping others led me to pursue studies in fire prevention, where I’m focused on making communities safer. I thrive in the outdoors, and when I’m not training or studying, you’ll likely find me hiking, exploring new trails, or enjoying nature.

With over five and a half years of experience as a volunteer firefighter, I’ve developed strong skills in emergency response, teamwork, and community safety. I’ve responded to a wide range of calls, including structure fires, medical emergencies, and motor vehicle incidents, while continually training to improve my knowledge and performance. This role has taught me the importance of staying calm under pressure, communicating effectively, and always being ready to serve when my community needs it most.

I recently completed both my Fire Inspector I and Fire Investigator I courses, building a strong foundation in fire prevention, code enforcement, and fire scene investigation. Through this training, I’ve gained valuable knowledge in identifying fire hazards, conducting inspections, and determining fire origin and cause. These certifications mark an important step in my goal to work in fire prevention and further contribute to public safety
