I hold a UI/UX Certificate from the University of Alberta, where I completed an extensive program covering UI Design, UX Design, Leading Teams, Content Design, Generative User Research, and Coding for Designers. Additionally, I have completed courses in Diversity, Ethics, and Basic Caretaking through the College of New Caledonia.
My expertise lies in User Interface Design, User-Centered Design, Design Strategy, and UX Research. I excel at creating intuitive and visually appealing user interfaces, developing design strategies that align with business goals, and conducting in-depth user research to inform the design process. With strong skills in prototyping and generative research, I am able to deliver high-quality design solutions that meet user needs and enhance user experiences.
Proficient in Adobe XD, Figma, Adobe Photoshop, and logo design, I bring a keen eye for aesthetics and a deep understanding of design principles to my work. I also have a solid foundation in HTML and CSS, allowing me to effectively collaborate with developers and implement seamless design solutions.
In my current role as a UI/UX Designer, working as a private contractor, I create user-centered designs and conduct research for independent clients. I specialize in developing design strategies and Information Architecture for small business websites. Prior to that, I gained valuable experience as a Behaviour Support Worker in School District 44, where I developed plans to improve behavior and academic success for students with complex needs. I also have a background as a Youth Care Worker, working with at-risk youth at the Centre for Learning Alternatives, where I provided outreach, tracked behavior, networked with mental health services, and assisted with their mental health goals.
