A recent graduate of a Masters degree in Environmental Science from Guelph University. I am interested in the environment and getting a chance to work in the field and office. I have experience working in the environmental sector in waste water management, aquatic restoration and fisheries management.

➢ Planning and collecting data in the field using soil coring tools and documenting legacy effects of restoration projects using photo logging
➢ Collecting fish counts, weights and sizes through the use of electrofishing (backpack, punt, and boat unit) and netting techniques (sane & hoop netting), to meet biodiversity requirements of DFO permits for working in aquatic environments
➢ Data collected was recorded and added to an organized data base used in end of project presentations to prove permit requirements were met. Permitting agencies included the DFO, MNRF, and Niagara Escarpment Commission
Fisheries Management Assistant June 2021 – August 2021
Hepworth Anglers Club- Hepworth, ON
➢ Collection of water quality parameters of freshwater springs that fed a riverine system including dissolved oxygen, total dissolved solids, temperature, and salinity using optical dissolved oxygen instrumentation (ProODO)
➢ Water quality parameters were recorded and shared with fishery owners and Academic professionals for incorporation in water quality reports to the MNFR and Bruce power as part of funding grants
➢ Managed a fish count on a 4.5-kilometer reach of spring creek, collected data through underwater videography, and reviewed footage for species identification and population counts
➢ Species population counts were documented and used in reports to MNFR and Bruce power as requirements of funding grants and to seek further funding from the two organizations.
