My interest in sport and academics match this unique opportunity because of my dedication and love for sport both grassroots and professional. My most relevant qualifications in this position would be my 4th year Sport Management Internship with the Welland Jackfish IBL Baseball team. This position was a sales and marketing role where I was tasked to sell all ticket packages to the community.
This included season tickets, group packages, flex packages, and single game tickets. I also was tasked at marketing the team to reach out to potential new fans that may not know who the Jackfish are.
Also, to mention would be my summer job experience working at a local golf course Rock Chapel. In which I was part of the turf maintenance team doing general labour duties on a day-to-day basis. I was able to learn many team building, organization, and time management skills throughout my time at the golf course.
I also have experience working for the Hamilton Tiger Cats as a Customer Assistance Team member for the 2019 season. I worked in several positions including usher, parking attendant, and ticket scanner. I was able to experience game day operations for a CFL organization.
My current job position is at BOMBA Baseball where I am the scheduler of parks, and umpires. My past experiences in the sport industry make myself a strong candidate for the volunteer position because I would strongly benefit the organization. I have experienced first-hand the nature of a sport organization and how it operates which is why with my experiences I could strongly benefit the hiring organization.
