Mandy Galang

I work closely with artists and production teams to create live music, video content, performance art experiences and events. My skillsets include script and story writing, character creation, music curation, songwriting, storyboarding, concept art, creating and fine-tuning choreography and performance sequences, makeup/hair/costume design, graphic design for print and online media content, managing and building teams, etc.

With over 20 years+ experience in the arts industry as a performer, designer and producer in various mediums, I have developed a keen eye for details and a unique understanding of production processes having worked on projects created from an explorative, open play concept to more structured and regimented approaches.

I am an experienced team-worker and have always been dedicated to my work, taking pride in both the quality and consistency of my output as well as its diversity. My goal is to continue this commitment while pushing myself further by taking on new challenges.

In the Communication and Ideation Program at Langara I learned not only the creative elements of production in various mediums but also understanding how and why a project/product may appeal to its target audience. There I learned the importance of quality, consistency, attention to detail and supporting your team are the things that can take any production from good to exceptional.
