About
I recently graduated from the University of Guelph-Humber with a degree in Justice Studies. Over the course of my studies, I completed a range of volunteer and co-op positions in community, recreation, and administrative settings. These positions allowed me to work alongside children, families, and individuals with developmental disabilities in both recreation and administrative roles.
Working in these environments taught me how to effectively communicate, stay organized, and handle unexpected challenges. These positions had also exposed me to diverse perspectives which in turn strengthened my ability to connect with others. One of the most rewarding aspects of these roles was being able to work closely with the participants while helping ensure that they had a meaningful experience within the program.
Working closely with participants gave me a greater appreciation for the importance of inclusion, accessibility, and community support.
