Kuehne & Nagel (Baxter Pharmaceutical, Amazon, Uniqlo) Calgary, Alberta Canada Distribution Center Manager June 2019-Pres Lead / participate in customer negotiations; • Ensure proactive approach to relationship management; • Participate in new business implementation project management; • Participate in bids, tenders and RFPs; • Ensure billing / invoicing accuracy; Maintained outstanding customer KPI’s, Target NP1 of 21 % across 3 distribution centers- Actual NP1 of 27% across 3 distribution centers • Promote integration of CL and road/rail activities where applicable; • Review forecasts monthly reflective of the current and future state of the business, take action to improve negative trends and report deviations to plan; • Full accountability for the performance of direct reports; • Set SMART goals and projects to achieve individual, distribution center, and divisional results; • Support employee engagement/retention initiatives, succession planning, and internal promotions within the DC; • Collaborate with Senior Management to ensure efficient, standardized and ‘best in class’ logistics operations; • Promote a culture of safety to ensure all reasonable precautions are taken for the protection of workers; • Support local implementation of KNPS Bronze, Silver and Gold (company production systems) certifications; • Plan long range labor requirements based on sales forecasts and input from direct reports; • Develop space utilization plans to meet prescribed cost and services standards; • Together with the Local Quality Manager, drive QSHE implementation and compliance; • Ensure that all quality and regulatory requirements of Health Canada and other applicable authorities and client requirements are met; • Other duties as assigned in support of the development and execution of the company's strategy.
