Ruth Bourke

Hello! I’m Ruth, an Irish animation professional with a background in scene preparation, rigging, and digital artistry. I have worked on a range of 2D productions for Netflix, Disney+, BBC and RTE. I have experience working in Adobe Animate and Toon Boom Harmony.

I'm new to Canada and am loving it so far. I bring a strong blend of artistic and technical skills to each project, drawing on my experience in animation studios and multimedia production. I am passionate about storytelling, illustration, and digital media production.

• I was a Junior Scene Prep and Build & Rig Artist in Kavaleer Productions based in Dublin.

  Here I was put in-between both departments, I built and organized characters/props for the animated Netflix UK show “Boy Girl Dog Cat Mouse Cheese”. I assisted the Scene Prep department or Scene planning department in assembling the scenes for animation.

• I was a Junior Ink and Paint Artist for Studio Meala. My responsibilities were to digitally color scenes for Disney’s animated anthology, "Kizazi Moto: Generation Fire". I assured the quality control on linework and coloring.
