I am a PhD holder with 4 years postdoctoral experience in field of Physical Chemistry, Material Sciences, Electrochemistry, Water treatment and Environmental Remediation. I am expert in the field of nanomaterial design and synthesis. I used both wet and solid-state reaction process to prepare carbon-based composite, organic and inorganic electro- and photocatalysts for application that involves energy storage/conversion, water treatment and gas sensor.
I have 6 year experience in using a combination of spectroscopic and microscopic techniques for elucidating physicochemical properties of nano- to microporous materials
I have 6 years research and teaching experience. I worked in different countries including China, Nigeria, India and Canada with a research focus on nanomaterial preparation as electrocatalysts, adsorbent and gas sensor for different application. I had previously prepared both ternary and binary metal oxides, carbonitrides, carbides, and organics as catalysts for energy storage, energy conversion, water treatment, miniature gas sensor, and environmental remediation, carbon capture.
I am capable of using and operating different kinds of material characterization techniques such as powder x- ray diffractometer (XRD), Brunauer-Emmett-Teller (BET) surface area and pore size distribution analyzer, Fourier transform infra-red Spectroscopy (FT-IR), inductive coupled plasma-atomic absorption spectroscopy (ICP-OES), thermogravimetric analyzer, X-ray photoelectron spectroscopy (XPS), UV-visible spectroscopy techniques and transmission electron microscopy (TEM), Raman spectroscopy and scanning electron microscopy (SEM), and I can confidently interpret data collected from those instruments. I am expert in academic writing for publication and grant acquisition.
I obtained PhD degree in Physical Chemistry, and Material Science in 2019, and had 4 years postdoctoral research and teaching experience at Shenzhen University, China (2019-2022), and University of Calgary (2022 to 2023)
