Who am I? My name is Sheri. I am 53 years old. I’m originally from the Calgary area (Red Deer Lake) but have spent the last 26 years in Lethbridge. I moved to High River in June of 2022, from Lethbridge where I raised my (now) 20-year-old daughter. I retired early from a municipal career of 25 years with the City of Lethbridge.
What do I bring to the table? I bring maturity and a willingness to learn a new career. I am highly motivated, responsible and have the ability to work independently or as part of a team.
Excellent written and oral communication skills, attention to detail and working in a high paced atmosphere are part of the package I would bring to your organization. Adhering to your company’s policy and procedures is also at the forefront. My past career afforded me the ability to expand on my skill set… everything from project management (broad scope) to working with people on an individual level (a more micro-scope) and everything in between.
Dealing with the public in both stressful and relaxed atmospheres was commonplace as well. In addition, regular use of Microsoft Office platforms is also part of my skill set. I’d love the opportunity to further discuss these qualities (and more) with you.
What do/did I do? To sum up my resume, I have been in law enforcement in one way or another for my entire adult life, with exception to my current position as a Job Coach with FAIM (Foothills Advocacy in Motion). I also own a small business that is slowly gaining momentum in High River - S&S Property Check (vacant house/business checks to satisfy insurance requirements). This was successful in Lethbridge but has been a ‘slow-start up’ here in High River.
I also am co-creator of ‘Grouchy’s Garden’… a ‘small’ (4,500 square feet) market garden established last spring/summer on a farm east of High River.
