I am a Civil Engineer, and an honorary student, in the last semester of the general management diploma program at Camosun College. During my experience as a Project Coordinator, I have developed the ability to communicate effectively with all internal and external project stakeholders and thrive in a team environment, contributing to achieving the project goals. With extensive knowledge of construction procedures, materials, and equipment as well as project components.
In my previous experience working in Municipalities as a Project Coordinator and Supervisor, I have developed management and organizational skills. For instance, participated in meetings with all stakeholders involved in the projects during all the process, achieving a good level of communication and thus facilitating the development and execution of the project from start to finish. I also oversaw that the execution of the projects meets criteria of safety, quality, cost and execution schedule.
In addition, ensured the adequate materials, labour, tools and equipment necessary for the project, managing the execution without setbacks, reviewed consistency of all the documents contained in the Projects (zero error), managing to reduce their approval time. Furthermore, I filled out work orders, coordinated purchases, requested permits with the different areas of the institution, as well as with external entities. Besides, organized and maintained an orderly file of technical work documents, weekly and monthly reports, and work valuations.
