I have great experience working within customer service, as such I’ve gained excellent communication and listening skills. These skills have allowed me to develop and maintain positive relationships with customers and fellow colleagues.
I also recently graduated from the Addiction's and Mental Health Worker program with Honours.
I was promoted from a team member to a supervisor by my employer at Tim Hortons. After spending several years working as a team member, I’ve gained excellent communication and listening skills. These skills have allowed me to develop and maintain positive relationships with customers and team members. As a supervisor, I was assigned multiple tasks such as, completing and updating employee information, schedules, waste logs, inventory orders, invoices, displays and bulletin boards, completing regular walk throughs ensuring all restaurant policies, procedures and standards were being met, completing end of days, end of shifts, bank deposits in addition to prioritizing and delegating duties to ensure the flow of service and concurrent tasks were completed.
I recently graduated from the Addiction's and Mental Health Worker program. While in my program, I completed my field placements at a global, not-for-profit organization called Certified Listener’s. As a Certified Listener I was responsible for providing trauma-informed, client-centered, emotional support to multiple callers in a timely manner, whilst maintaining confidentiality. As this was a global platform, I have had great experience working with diverse populations within a multicultural, anti-oppressive framework. I cohesively worked with caller’s who were experiencing complex issues and multiple barriers to develop plans and resolve issues. Although, Certified Listener’s is not a crisis line, calls have been made during crisis. In these instances, I would still provide emotional support in addition to crisis intervention and prevention techniques.
