Faris Sabanija

Born in Sarajevo, Faris Sabanija comes from middle-class family of law enforcement and NGOs, but seems like he decided not to follow family's legacy. From an early age, cinema and stories made an significant impact on Faris' life. Faris spent his early childhood in Bosnia & Herzegovina and a bits of his teenage years until moving to a different country on a different continent, Turkey.

When he graduated primary school, Faris moved to Ankara, Turkey due to his father's employment where he attended and graduated from American high school. He spent six years in Ankara. Upon graduation, Faris moved to Prague, Czech Republic, to pursue his dreams of becoming a filmmaker.

Currently, Faris is a film student at Prague Film School where he is majoring in narrative directing. Before film school, he written and directed three short experimental films, and within film school, he written and directed five short films. During the first year of studies, Faris found himself performing better tasks in the roles of assistant director and sound mixer.

He loves breaking down the script, organizing, and taking care of the crew and cast. As of right now, Faris is developing his debut feature “Fling”, a romantic comedy that was inspired from Faris’ real life experiences.

I used to be a freelance photographer. I took pictures of celebratory events such as, soccer matches, weddings, and portraits.

Screenwriting Feature and Writing comedy

Second Semester: Specialization in Screenwriting + Directing.

Second year : First semester: Classes and seminars with visiting filmmakers on the subject of music, sound, directing, editing, and screenwriting. + Writing the diploma film.

Second semester: Production and post-production of the diploma film.
