Juan Scarcella

I’m a Product designer passionate about design and the experiences we live in every moment. Based in Barcelona.

My passions are art, design, photography, geometry and the color yellow. And thanks to photography I was able to combine all these hobbies.

With photography I have captured many experiences throughout my life and today I decided to study UX/UI Design to be able to create them from another point of view.

In the photography environment I have developed the ability to know how to work in a team.

My motivation is to continue breaking barriers on a personal and professional level, that’s why I have decided to launch myself into this world that is constantly changing and full of challenges.

UX/UI DESIGNER, 2021 - PRESENT

• I learned to use methods such as Design thinking, Lean design and Agile.
• I have used qualitative and quantitative, exploratory or evaluative, primary and secondary research methods.
• I learnt how to segment users and define targets.
• I conducted formal/structured, informal and semi-structured interviews.
• In order to further define the user I used resources such as Affinity Diagram, User persona and empathy mapping.
• I am skilled in prototyping.
• I have done concept testing, usability testing, moderate and non-moderate testing.
• I have done Benchmarks and Task Analysis.
• I have worked with mission, vision, values and business value proposition.
• I know the rule to create the columns, gutters and margins of a screen, the typography, the shapes and icons it should have, the colour, etc.
• I know the 8 principles of Information Architecture.
• I have done Sitemaps, Cardsourting.
• Create wireframes in Low-fi, Mid-fi and Hi-fi.
• I have made small Atomic Design and a Design System.
• I had to take accessibility into account in all projects.
• I had to make user stories, jobs to be done and jobs stories.
• I applied methods such as Moscow and also the Value & complexity quadrant.
• I made moodboard, creative core concept and style tiles to create prototypes.
• Acquired basic knowledge of HTML & CSS.
• Make a complete redesign of DOMESTIKA onboarding for both App and Desktop and in this project use Lean Design Methodology, Desktop Research, Interviews, Usability Tests, User Journey, User Flow, Use Cases, Mid to Hi-Fi Prototyping.
• I created an MVP of an App called TIMEOFF to prevent body aches when the user works in front of a computer and in this project I used Design Thinking Methodology, Desktop research, Interviews, Task flow, User flow, Uses cases, Style tile, Wireframes, Mid to Hi-Fi Prototyping.
• In this project I had to incorporate a feature in the AIRBNB App without altering the user experience already created for this I used the following tools Lean Design Methodology, Desktop Research, Surveys, Interviews, Usability Tests, User Persona, User Flow, Use Cases, Mid to Hi-Fi Prototyping.
