Growing up, my parents were always busy with work, I was tasked with the responsibility of tending to my younger ones. I prepared lunch, did the laundry and assisted with the homework in my little way. This instilled the desire to care and nurture others in me.

I got a job as the career to a geriatric patient. My duties spanned across assisting him with feeding, personal hygiene, tending to his bed sores and administering his drugs as at when due, and I also provided social and emotional support by engaging him in recreational activities like playing games, dancing and I also ran other errands required of me. After he died at the age of 92, I took up a job as a nurse assistant in an hospital within my locality.

I assisted taking patients' vital signs( blood pressure, sugar level), I filled patient's cards, assisted with laying of beds and moving bed pans
