  • In this role I used a tractor and trailer to collect trollies from the carpark area. I maintained high levels of road safety and awareness to ensure the safety of customers.
  • I would be responsible for carrying out daily safety checks of vehicles and trailers to ensure road worthiness and safety.
  • I worked effectively as part of a team which would patrol the carpark area ensuring trollies are collected in a timely manner and returned safely to the depot for collection.
  • As I progressed in this role, I was also responsible for locking and securing the crew rest area at the end of day and returning the key to the Gyle Centre security staff.

Customer service assistant - Tesco

  • As a customer service assistant, I was responsible for stocking shelves and ensuring stock is rotated thoroughly.
  • Throughout the working day, I was responsible for packing and sorting recyclables into relevant roll cages for recycling pickups.

Volunteer Driver - Fairshare Warehouse

(1999-01 - 2000-10)

  • As a driver, I was responsible for loading the Fairshare van with pallets and boxes into the vans and doing the delivery of goods to homeless charities across Edinburgh.
  • Organised the layout of stock within the van to maximise space, ensuring secure stacking and that deliveries were loaded in a last-in first-out way to improve delivery efficiency across multiple drop-off locations.
