Over 12 years of experience within the UK education sector progressing from lecturer to Assistant Principal with a key focus on quality improvement and enhancing teaching and learning. I have a Masters in Strategic Leadership and Management coupled with an Undergraduate Degree and a full teaching qualification. Theoretical aspects of my academic journey have enabled me to maintain a critical focus on improving the academic quality of all education programmes within my remit.
I have substantial experience in leadership and management and am a motivator in raising performances to meet institutional targets.
I adapt to fast paced environment and work holistically to ensure all areas improve in line with organisational KPI and targets. Being an Ofsted trainee, I am familiar with standards frameworks and the importance of quality assurance; my attention to detail has resulted in me supporting a college from inadequate standard to good status. I worked extensively to provide rapid quality improvement plans, area reviews and standardisation of teaching, learning and examinations.
I worked closely with the quality team to oversee training and development of staff through one to ones and observations, providing them with action plans and coaching where required.
