About
I am a graduate of an undergraduate Computing Science course at the University of Ulster. Computing has always been fun and exciting to me and I’ve always enjoyed the thought of a career in the IT field, whether it be as a programmer, a helpdesk technician or in a customer support role.
Experience
Manager of the tech area; Trainee - Carson Technologies
I worked here voluntarily for approximately a year and a half, some of which was used as my work placement during my Foundation Degree. I started off as just a trainee, though as time went on and more trainees came into the business I was made manager of the tech area. My duties included doing repairs and training the trainees in how to do the things they didn’t already understand.
During my time working there I gained a lot of experience with the multitude of different problems that can happen with computer systems and other electronic devices, I also gained a lot of experience working as part of a team, working solo and communicating with customers to help solve their problems. I also had a good chance to build on my experience with putting computers together, and even built my own computer during my time there.
