My name is Andrew and i am currently looking for permanent work. I have 4 years of experience in healthcare but am now looking for something new to throw myself into. I have been working as a team leader for the last few months within hospitality but the role just doesn't offer enough hours for me to be comfortable.
The griffin (Bowden, chef and brewer)
August 2023 - PRESENT.
In this role I am a team leader in a busy rural pub. I am responsible for serving customers efficiently and professionally. I also make sure that both aspects of the chef and brewer work smoothly and do this by delegating tasks and dealing with any complaints' quickly and methodically and keeping a report of all issues throughout the day. I enjoy my role but just do not get consistent hours.
January 2023 - June 2023- AXIS EDUCATION.
In this role I am a teaching assistant working in classroom with children who require extra support with learning. This role is not consistent, so I am seeking a role more permanent and consistent role.
October 2021- December 2022 - Holden Knight nursing agency.
In this role I worked with clients from all ages and disabilities, working as a team and independently to provide the best care, these were complex packages that needed constant high care and quality service. Conducting documentation to a high standard whilst working under pressure from clients or family members, talking with clients and family to discuss changes, effectively, calmy and being competent enough to answer any questions.
August- September (summer job) The Three Barrells (Urmston).
Within this role I was responsible for looking after the bar independently and with a team, processing payments with cash or card, cleaning the bar and maintaining a high standard of hospitality, changing barrels, restocking and opening and closing the premises independently.
October 2019 – April 2020 Viper and Vines- Prestwich
Animal Care Assistant and in charge of customer service.
Whilst working at Viper and Vines I performed several roles which included looking after the animals and being responsible for the phone line customer service. I would answer calls from new and existing customers who had enquires regarding the acquisition of new animals and the care of previously brought pets. These enquires would come from both the phone and email and could involve a large range of scenarios which would require me to think quickly and speak coherently.
During Covid the role was very intense as customers found it difficult to visit shops to acquire the necessary equipment or medical advice for their pets, so a lot of advice was given over the phone or via email. Showing my ability to communicate effectively and use customer centred approaches to achieve the best result for the business and the customer.
April 2020- Jan 2021– Routes Healthcare- Tameside (Agency)
Supporting complex care packages in the community
Providing support to various clients, including end of life, those with acquired brain injuries and tracheostomy care
Providing personal care, following care plans and administering medication
Training newer members of staff.
Health and social care level three extended diploma (distinction*).
