I have a diverse professional background, but two key areas that stand out are my experience in education and my current role in support work. From 2014 to 2022, I worked at Darsons Institute of Science and Technology in Gujrat, Pakistan. I began as a teacher of pharmaceutics, delivering lectures, mentoring students, and designing assessments. Over time, I was promoted to a senior administrative role and eventually became Vice Principal.
In these leadership positions, I managed academic programs, coordinated faculty, and supported students’ overall academic progress and well-being. This experience helped me develop strong communication, organisation, and leadership skills while keeping student support at the heart of my work.Currently, I work as a support worker in Aberdeen, providing one-on-one care to an autistic child. This role requires patience, empathy, and adaptability.
I assist with daily routines, create a safe and supportive environment, and maintain open communication with the family to ensure consistent, personalised care. It’s a role that deepened my understanding of individual needs and the importance of inclusive support, particularly for neurodiverse individuals.
