I am a dedicated, articulated and hard-working teacher. I am qualified to teach both in The UK as well as internationally.
I have a north African experience, teaching in Tunisia’s government/ public schools as well a GCC experience, where I taught in The Sultanate of Oman for 6 years.
My experience is varied as I have worked in government, private, international as well as Language schools.
My experience ranges from teaching IGCSE in secondary education, to adults education.
Indeed, I have taught 11-18 year olds as well as 18+.
I have taught local curricula as well as British curricula up to A levels.
I taught students from many various cultural, social as well as abilities backgrounds. I have taught ESOL, EAP, ESP, Business English, Spoken English, IELTS, Technical English and Advanced grammar .
Besides, I have always designed, created my own materials and syllabi as well as adapting curricula and available course books to meet the needs of the learners.
I have worked with people from different abilities as well as cultural and professional backgrounds (I have taught military personnel on a military base).
I love to make a difference and inspire learners. I speak many languages and
Arabic is one of them. I am very culturally aware and a well travelled teacher who is very creative, determined and passionate about education.
I am also a fully qualified translator and Interpreter.
I hold a level 6 Diploma in Public Services Interpreting- English Law from The CiOL.
I have worked as a translator and as an interpreter on freelance as well as on contract basis since 2000. I have done legal, medical, advertising, subtitling, voice overs, consecutive as well as simultaneous interpretation both in the UK and internationally.
My clients ranged from media productions companies, diplomatic missions as well as NGOs and civil society organizations and human rights organizations.
I have a great attention to details and looking for a new challenge.
I think having lived and travelled in The Middle East and worldwide have given a high sensitivity to cultural differences, an awareness that would be a bonus to bring to the table.
