Charlotte Matthews

I'm an experienced freelance illustrator and cartoonist. I've worked in the last 4-5 years on cartoon characters and drawings for various individuals and companies. I love cartooning and designing new exciting characters. Some projects I've worked on recently include cartoon illustrations for production media, blogs and articles, booklets, educational material for adults and children and children's books.

One of my favourite illustration commissions in the last couple of years was a series of cat pet portraits of famous cats belonging to some well known names for Havas Entertainment! It was part of the launch of the Electrical Life of Louis Wain. I had great fun re-creating these lovely cats in the style of Louis Wain. I would love to do more in the style it was so much fun!

I am currently looking for sketch/colour cartooning projects to be a part of, to develop some more amazing working relationships and create some intriguing final pieces! Comic strips and cartoon animal characters are a favourite.

I've worked with a few companies working on cartoons for various types of projects; staff guide books, cartoon characters for a media production company in LA (present), comic strip style cartoons for a software testing company in the UK.

I completed a 2 year Art Foundation at the University of the Creative Arts
