My achievements within Cemex are something I am very proud of. My key takeaways from my experience within the business are that efficiency and safety go hand in hand if safety takes president. Being part of a team is crucial and working at Cemex has helped develop my communication skills and take responsibility for myself and others.
- Carry out daily inspections on a variety of machinery and equipment to ensure it is safe and fit for use as well as inspections on stockpiles, haul roads, safety equipment and other areas on site.
- Operate the weighbridge and manage trucks entering and exiting site making sure trucks are correctly loaded and within weight regulations as well as handling calls from customers and take care of site office facilities.
- Maintain and operate a wheeled loading shovel to carry out daily tasks such as loading the fixed processing plant and concrete plant, load a variety of trucks with different products, transport processed mineral to the relevant stockpiles and ensure stockpiles adhere to regulations and are free of contaminants as well as keeping ground conditions at an acceptable standard.
