About

I'm an IT support professional with over 3 years of hands-on experience, including NHS technical refresh projects and a Level 3 Apprenticeship in IT Support. I've built up strong skills in troubleshooting, building and configuring PCs from scratch, and supporting end users in busy environments. I enjoy problem-solving, whether that's fixing a complex IT issue or streamlining how my workload is organised.

I'm now looking for remote or hybrid roles in IT, including cloud/software support, where I can keep building my skills in areas like cloud technologies while delivering a reliable, professional service to users.

Experience

IT Refresh Technician - NHS - West Yorkshire, UK

(2024-05)

  • Carrying out large-scale refresh projects across GP surgeries, configuring and deploying new hardware while keeping downtime to a minimum.
  • Using Active Directory to manage assets and keep PCs in the right groups for each site.
  • Planning and tracking work with spreadsheets, making sure jobs are completed on time and sites are kept updated.
  • Collecting decommissioned kit and replacing it with fully configured devices.
  • Driving a work van across West Yorkshire to deliver and collect IT equipment.
  • Supporting both admin and clinical staff by making sure their equipment is ready to use with minimal disruption.
  • Led a full extraction, rebuild and re-delivery of equipment for a site with over 30 PCs, as well as assisting with putting the equipment back onsite and reconfiguring.
  • Overhauled job tracking by creating a structured spreadsheet system for active jobs, completed work, and specialist builds.
  • Delivered and installed over 150 monitors and scanners across more than 40 sites.
  • Built and deployed around 50 new patient check-in screens across Huddersfield, Calderdale, North Kirklees and Wakefield, coordinating installations with both NHS staff and third-party providers.

Junior IT Support Engineer - Nexus People (Thomas-March Group)

(2022-06 - 2024-05)

Apprenticeship with Baltic Apprenticeships

  • Provided 1st–2nd line support for 300 users, both deskside and remotely.
  • Managed Active Directory accounts: creating users, setting permissions, and managing access.
  • Handled Office 365 admin including account setup, licensing, and troubleshooting.
  • Used SolarWinds to log and resolve tickets, escalating where needed to keep within SLAs.
  • Set up and upgraded laptops, desktops, and mobile devices for new starters.
  • Looked after IT stock, arranged equipment deliveries, and made sure old kit was recycled properly.
  • Completed Level 3 IT Support Technician Apprenticeship (Merit) alongside this role.
  • Carried out a mass export of legacy Outlook mailboxes, archiving them securely to hard drives to reduce cloud storage use while ensuring historical data remained accessible.
  • Progressed from handling simple support tasks (user setups, printer installs) to managing complex technical issues, such as reconfiguring 3CX call queues and guiding users through advanced troubleshooting when remote access wasn't possible.

Hospitality Roles - Botafogo Brazilian Grill & Sharan's Deli

(2019-01 - 2022-12)

  • Built strong customer service skills and learned how to handle fast-paced, people-focused work.
  • Gained experience working in a team and dealing with customers directly.
