Dan Coyle

I am an analytical individual who enjoys tackling difficult problems.

I studied mathematics at university and have since worked in technical configuration roles within the healthcare and insurance industries.

I have recently returned to the UK after taking a careeer break to travel, and am looking for a fresh challenge.

Workstream Configuration Analyst | Mid Cheshire Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust (March 2023 - July 2025)

• I worked on the Digital Clinical System programme, implementing the Meditech Expanse electronic patient record.
• My role included a variety of tasks at different stages of the project, including requirements gathering, configuring Meditech, creating custom reports, training users and supporting Go Live.
• I joined the project through the NHS Digital, Data and Technology graduate scheme, which allowed me to complete an apprenticeship and leadership programme.

Technical Business Analyst | Acturis Ltd. (September 2022 - March 2023)

• After University, I began working for Acturis Ltd, the UK’s leading Software-as-a-Service provider for insurance brokers and underwriters.
• I configured the insurance products available to trade on the Acturis application, as well as investigating and fixing issues when they arose.
• I also liaised and coordinated with other members of the Acturis team and our clients in the insurance industry.

MMath Mathematics | University of Oxford (September 2018 - June 2022)

• I completed an integrated Master’s course, receiving a 2.1 for the Bachelor’s portion (weighted average of 66 across the second and third years) and a Pass for the Master’s portion (weighted average of 62 in fourth year).
• I studied a range of different modules, with a particular focus on applied mathematics and probability.

  In my fourth year I completed a 7200 word dissertation titled ‘Random Walk in a Random Environment’, attaining a mark of 75.

Level 4 Data Analyst Apprenticeship | QA Ltd (May 2023 - December 2024)

• I completed a data analyst apprenticeship whilst employed at Mid Cheshire Hospitals NHSFT. I participated in courses on different aspects of data analysis, before undertaking projects at work to demonstrate those skills.
• I received a ‘Pass’ grade, based upon a portfolio of reports on my projects, a large final project and presentations to an examiner.
