Having spent 16 years in catering, I still use the skills I learnt in various cocktail bars, restaurants, and hotels on a daily basis. This experience provided me with the ability to work in high-stress environments, to work collaboratively and across teams using agile working practices whilst simultaneously managing a top-level overview of multiple projects.
I have recruited, led, developed and motivated a number of multi-disciplinary teams in my career. I have been integral in making strategic decisions for companies and clients. Strong working relationships have been the key to my success over the last 10 years, whether that be with my team members and colleagues or clients and partners in other organisations.
I have spent over seven years working with data and technology, from analysing marketing and website data to presenting cutting edge humanoid robots. I can deliver complex technical projects at pace. I have produced documents and made presentations clear and accessible to all, including non-technical stakeholders.
In a previous role, the company was purchased by a larger agency. I supported various teams dealing with this change and encouraged engagement with the new board and developed new ways of working whilst managing a quality service for our 200+ clients. This was a challenging time. My cross-functional teams needed different levels of support but seeing the big picture was key to a successful transition. As part of the senior management team and the longest-serving department head, I made several strategic business decisions regarding the best way to take the company forward. I did this whilst consistently delivering accurate business metrics for the company as a whole. This included daily, monthly and annual reporting of client retention and new business pipelines amongst others.
