I am an experienced practitioner, currently working in an all through school; overseeing a curriculum from Pre-Prep to KS2. Teaching a diverse curriculum across Key stage 1 and 2. An emotionally intelligent Deputy Headteacher, that is comfortable leading and sharing best practice and able to ascertain progress against school priorities.
A supportive and proactive Deputy Headteacher, who advises, listens and collaborates with the Headteacher and other members of SLT. An ECT Coach and Induction Tutor, successfully supporting a number of Early Career Teachers through their first and second year of professional practice. I am a dependable, calm and organised person, with the ability to adapt to change, to lead a team and work well within a team.
My current role consists of undertaking duties requested by the Headteacher - creating and maintaining effective and positive relationships with parents, to support their daughter’s academic achievement and personal development. I promote the development and maintenance of a culture and curriculum that takes account of the diversity of the school’s community. I communicate regularly to the school and wider community, celebrating and promoting both student and staff achievements and activities.
I additionally aid others in their professional development as appropriate.
In line with the above responsibilities, I assist the Headteacher with evaluating the quality of teaching and learning, being sure to implement this in my teaching. I additionally assist in identifying areas for development in line with the school development plan. Through training, I have begun supporting the Headteacher in leading others in being prepared for, and successful in, any forthcoming ISI inspection.
