Keith Briggs

I am an experienced senior leader in secondary education. I have a significant amount of experience in both strategic and operational leadership. My focus on curriculum and standards mean I can decide on strategic direction and deliver effective change management. Creating and managing timetable and assessment systems, supported through my mathematics background show I am comfortable with managing large data sets and am highly analytical.

I have been a senior leader in secondary education for ten years. The schools I have led have had 1000-1500 students and over 100 staff.

In my most recent post:

• 1500 students on roll, over 120 teaching and support staff
• Responsible for the exceptional achievement of all students, including disadvantaged students, behaviour, attitudes and attendance of students
• Led on curriculum development across the 11-18 age range, creating the timetable for the whole school.
• Led on strategic data analysis processes for teachers, middle leaders and whole school data analysis
• Responsible for examinations, leading on Centre Assessed Grades in 2020 and Teacher Assessed Grades in 2021
• Experience of being a budget holder, staff recruitment and safeguarding
• Responsible for complex statutory returns to the DfE
• Direct line management of senior leaders, English and Mathematics departments – 30 staff
• Significant budget responsibilities

I have a degree in Mathematics and a PGCE in Mathematics and IT.

I have several leadership qualifications including NPQH - Masters level qualification required for headship.
