Dewmini Liyanagamage

In my role as a Shift Manager at German Doner Kebab in Rotherham since February 2024, I have been responsible for creating and executing plans for departmental sales, profit, and staff development. I manage weekly and daily ordering to maintain optimal stock levels and ensure timely placement of special orders for functions. A key aspect of my role is working collaboratively within a team and motivating others, which includes providing staff training and ongoing support to team members.

I ensure that the team delivers excellent customer service and maintains high standards of quality control, hygiene, sanitation, health, and safety in accordance with GDK policies. Additionally, I handle administrative tasks such as preparing reports at the end of shifts, including staff control, food control, wastage, and sales. I also conduct daily staff briefings, monitor and record temperatures of freezers and chillers, and arrange store maintenance when required.

My role demands excellent customer service skills and the ability to remain calm under pressure, all while ensuring that the team is polite, efficient, and provides exceptional service to our customers.
